1950s Stunning Enameled and Embossed Golden Cross Pendant by SPHINX
This large cross has been designed in an almost medallion style. Using an embossed checkered design on each arm which leads to an elegant V ball pointed end, the arms are connected with fabulous regal carved swirls that point towards the central raised panel that is detailed using green, blue, and white enamel with a golden angel in the centre. The pendant is finished on a lovely long golden gilt chain. This fabulous statement necklace is a perfect example of the elaborate pieces that Sphinx produced throughout the 50's, it is signed on the back and is a very collectible item of vintage costume jewellery.

Material: Blue, green and white enamel, golden gilt metal (please note the pendant shows some signs of age to the back, but this does not detract from it's beauty when worn).
