Antique Arts and Crafts Carbuncle and Solid Silver Ring
A wonderful example of the 'carbuncle' stone, a deep dark garnet that is cut and polished into a cabochon. This vintage ring dates back to the Arts and Crafts era of the early 1900's , the carbuncle is set upon a solid silver shank that a silversmith of exceptional design style has created. Interestingly, the symmetry in the design shows signs of the geometric Art Deco style that would follow from this era. A fantastic item of vintage jewellery.
